Our Commitment: Whispr is designed with privacy as a core principle. All voice processing happens entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your data.
Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information.
Whispr operates entirely on your device. We have no servers, no analytics, and no way to access your data.
Voice & Audio Data
- All voice transcription is processed 100% on-device using local machine learning models
- Your voice recordings are never sent to any server
- Audio data is processed in real-time and is not stored permanently
- We cannot access, listen to, or retrieve any audio you record
Clipboard Data
- Clipboard history is stored locally on your device only
- This data is kept in a secure app container and is not accessible to other apps
- We do not transmit clipboard contents anywhere
Keyboard Extension
Whispr includes a keyboard extension that requires "Full Access" permission. This permission is needed solely to:
- Communicate with the main app for voice transcription (via local App Groups)
- Access clipboard history feature
Full Access does NOT mean we collect your keystrokes. We do not log, store, or transmit anything you type.
Data Storage
- Speech recognition models: Downloaded once and stored locally (~40-150MB)
- User preferences: Stored locally on your device
- Transcription history: Stored locally, never transmitted
Third-Party Services
Whispr does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Children's Privacy
Whispr does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app processes all data locally and does not collect personal information from any users.
Changes to This Policy
